[CDRIVER-3071] aggregation result exceeds maximum document size (16MB)

                <project id="10030" key="CDRIVER">C Driver</project>

To share a quick context, Mongo DB is used as the database to persist information for the application. We use a tool called Pentaho which makes connection to the Mongo DB to extract data and generates few reports for the business. As the data in the application has grown up, we are reaching 16MB size on Mongo due to which the query operation fails and hence the reports fails.

Please let us know if you have encountered a similar issue in any of your past project and have some workaround already identified for it.

Your issue appears to be a general question about executing large aggregations through Pentaho and does not appear related to the C driver (or any other language driver). Given that the MongoDB server's own limit for individual documents is 16 megabytes, this also doesn't seem like a server bug that might warrant a ticket in the SERVER project within JIRA.

If you happen to have a support contract with MongoDB, please open a ticket via the Support Portal. If not, this question would be better asked in one of the community support forums.
</comment>
