For reasons I don&apos;t yet know, the in-progress update to the MongoDB Drivers&apos; GridFS specification will likely recommend &lt;b&gt;not&lt;/b&gt; executing filemd5. When the spec&apos;s published I&apos;ll link to the rationale here.&lt;/p&gt;</comment>
