&lt;p&gt;1. You catch the exception and process or ignore it&lt;br/&gt;
2. We change DropIndexByName to ignore collection or index does not exist errors&lt;br/&gt;
3. We add an IndexExists method that you can call before calling DropIndexByName to check first whether the index exists or not&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;My only problem with #2 is that it hides errors due to typos in collection or index names.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Any preferences? My preference is for #3.&lt;/p&gt;</comment>
