	&lt;li&gt;BasicDBOBject doesn&apos;t implement the Map interface, so there is some justification that an instance is not equal to a Map even if they contain similar keys and values&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;With the new CRUD API, we&apos;re encouraging use of the Document class and are no longer making modifications to DBObject-related classes except to fix critical bugs.&lt;/li&gt;
