The section "Remove a Zone Range" stated:
The mongod does not provide a helper for removing a zone range. You may delete zone range from a shard key range by removing the corresponding document from the tags collection of the config database.
However I think this is incorrect, since the command sh.removeRangeFromZone seems to perform this function.
