    Description

Ulimit documentation does not cover how to set limits in the /etc/security/limits.conf file.

We need to cover this as RHEL and its fork's all use this file to manipulate limits rather than the ulimit command.

      mongod hard nofile 64000
      mongod soft nofile 64000

Additionally, you also need to set the following in /etc/pam.d/login

      session required pam_limits.so
      session required pam_unix.so

RedHat have doc's of this https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/5/html/Tuning_and_Optimizing_Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux_for_Oracle_9i_and_10g_Databases/chap-Oracle_9i_and_10g_Tuning_Guide-Setting_Shell_Limits_for_the_Oracle_User.html
