Putting a head db on remote storage (regardless of filesystem) leads very quickly to either "my backups are slow" or "my backups don't work".
In each of the 4 operating system-specific installation guides for Ops Manager, there's a step titled
- If you will run Ops Manager Backup, configure the Backup Daemon and Backup Storage.
- On each Ops Manager server that will be activated as a Backup Daemon, create the directory that will store the head databases. The directory must be:
