It's ambiguous what the following means: "and <DATABASE> with the name of the database to which you wish to connect"
Ultimately this whole idea of the DB name in MongoDB is a little counter-intuitive for a new user. I wonder if we can come up with a good catch-all for this getting started page

Should let the user know that they can substitute any name for <DATABASE>, and MongoDb creates it for them automatically if it does not exist. This resolves the new-user confusion on how to connect to a database that does not yet exist.
