• New command line arguments for default auth mechanism and database
  • Authentication Options:
    • --defaultAuthDatabase
      • default user source (defaults to admin)
    • --defaultAuthMechanism arg
      • default authentication mechanism (defaults to SCRAM-SHA1)
• New startup option to specify default varchar length
• Provide mongosqld status metrics with SHOW STATUS
  • Metrics reported: Connections, Queries, BytesSent, Threads Connected
• Mongosqld now binds to multiple ip addresses
• New runtime options for limiting memory usage of group, sort, and join stages
