This commit prevents the usage of expressions introduced in 4.0 (such as $convert, the 'format' option to $dateFromString, etc.) in contexts that will be stored in the catalog, while in a feature compatibility version < 4.0. Specifically, you will not be allowed to use these new features in a view definition or within an $expr within a collection validator while in FCV < 4.0.
