Should we interlink the "how-to" part with the manual part of the docs?

e.g., I was looking up info on --filter:
      http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/reference/mongorestore/#cmdoption-mongorestore--filter

But could have used an example:
      http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/tutorial/backup-databases-with-binary-database-dumps/#restore-a-subset-of-data-from-a-binary-database-dump

There are lots of other examples. We should be consistent, but not sure if the examples should be in-line with the manual, or x-linked.
