Description
https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/core/sharded-cluster-query-router/
It looks like there was some work on this in the related issue that is linked, but it would be nice if the documentation around sorting was clarified a bit.
The docs state "Certain query modifiers, such as sorting, are performed on a shard such as the primary shard before mongos retrieves the results."
Is this meant to be a random shard? Can this take place on the mongos for a regular query? The following aggregation information can lead to confusion, and further down the page there is a section about sorting that is confusing in the overall context.
Scope of changes
ToDo: Fold in discussions on DOCS-11469 and refactor page for clarity on merge logic.
