Description

The MongoDB 4.0 Platform Support production notes for "Windows 8/2012 R2 and later" currently only note 4.0 as compatible: https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/administration/production-notes/#x86-64.

However, versions of the production notes in previous releases suggest compatibility with "Server 2008 R2 and later":

I suspect the missing checkboxes may have been an oversight when "Windows 8/2012 R2 and later" was added to the platform matrix.

Scope of changes

• Validate current platform support table for windows
• update documentation for 4.2 and backport as appropriate
