scandata parameter of Validate command is now deprecated and does nothing.
Engineering Ticket Description:
Today, setting scandata to true, sets the ValidateCmdLevel to kValidateRecordStore, which is not checked against anywhere, and therefore unused. We should log a message saying that this argument is deprecated and remove it in a future release.
Additionally, we can convert the 'validate' command to use IDL.
Scope of changes
- As per discussion in
SERVER-40958, this parameter has no real function since 3.6. Removing it from the manual as user's currently utilizing the option arne't getting anything out of it anyways.
