Starting from v7.0, the enableAutoMerger optional parameter has been added to the configureCollectionBalancing command:

When set to true, the auto-merger (described in ~~DOCS-15977~~) will consider the collection
When set to false, the auto-merger will skip the collection

If the parameter has never been used, auto-merge for any sharded collection is active by default.
