    Description

Just to summarize my email so it's not lost, two related problems w/ the sharding docs:

      1. We now "hide" a bunch of the tutorials, some of which are critical to users. If you go here: http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/administration/sharded-clusters/, we only show 3 maintenance tutorials. If you go here: http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/administration/sharded-cluster-maintenance/ we show 11. That means that unless you know that you need to click through to the heading to see them all, you'll never see or find the 8 remaining tutorials, some of which are really critically important.
      2. Along similar lines, we used to have some advisories/ admonishments about moving config servers - specifically, that it will require complete cluster downtime. It can be avoided by using some sort of indirection - most simply, by using logical CNAMEs to point to the actual hostnames, so that you can change the hostnames without changing the connection string. That should be called out repeatedly and with great emphasis in the docs, since the alternative is restarting your entire cluster every time you move one. I'd also add that note to the Production Notes.

It's critical that we get those fixes into the docs ASAP, imho.
