Description
Comparing the documented installation procedure for MongoDB 2.6 enterprise on Redhat:
http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/tutorial/install-mongodb-enterprise-on-red-hat-or-centos/
to that of 2.4:
http://docs.mongodb.org/v2.4/tutorial/install-mongodb-enterprise/
one sees that the latter lists a bunch of required packages and instructions for installing them.
Should the 2.6 documentation similarly list prerequisite packages for MongoDB installation, or is that a non-factor now that the MongoDB installations themselves are package-based?
Also, what could be a separate ticket, the 2.6 enterprise installation instructions say
sudo yum install mongodb-enterprise
|
but this package is not available in the yum repository so this simply won't work. Enterprise packages are downloaded from elsewhere and installed manually afaik.
