The following updates will help Windows users:
- The documentation gives an example of installing mongodb as a Windows service with a config file consisting of a single line in legacy syntax, but it is also possible to use the new YAML format.
- The documentation should point out that the fork option does not apply to Windows.
- A brief overview of YAML would help. Things like indentation must be spaces and not tabs, etc.
- YAML strings can be /like/this or "\\like\\this" but not "\like\this". Care must be taken with Windows pathnames in double quotes or else YAML will not parse them. Examples would help.
- The documentation should state that you cannot mix YAML syntax with legacy syntax in the same config file. it is either-or.
- The documentation should make it very clear that processManagement.pidFilePath needs to be a file, not a directory.
