When server admins set up VMs for MongoDB they often follow steps to the letter. I'm noticing a trend where admins won't configure things like ulimits and file system read ahead as the instructions are buried in production notes

      http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/administration/production-notes/#recommended-configuration

I believe this information needs to be clearly linked in the install instructions for Linux.
      http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/tutorial/install-mongodb-on-red-hat-centos-or-fedora-linux/

I know training, white papers, and production notes exist for these, but servers are often not set up by DBAs so this gets skipped.
