This command needs to be properly documented and advertised. It is very important for automating backup procedures, since you need to call db.fsyncLock() and db.fsyncUnlock() from the same connection and presumably also want to do something in between the two.
The actual usage of the command is something like
runProgram("ls", "-al")
which is currently neither inferable from the documentation, nor from the shell's self-help.
