There are only two views in journaling (the shared view & the private view), and really only one view (the shared view) is created with journaling.
The doc page sort of talks about the journal itself as though it were a view, so maybe that's what was meant (though it might be more accurate to say that it's a diff, and in any case, the only time it gets viewed in any sense if a catastrophic event occurs after a write gets fully committed to journal but before that same write gets committed to the data file).
