From Mike O'Brien:
Different columns may be displayed depending on if you run mongostat against a node running wiredTiger, or mmapv1:
- in wiredtiger, the "% dirty" and "% used" are new columns which indicate the percentage of the wiredtiger cache with dirty bytes written, and the percentage of the cache thats in use, respectively.
- if using a 3.0 (or later) version of mmapv1, the "locked db %" column is now excluded (since we have documnet level locking, so there's no meaningful metric for this anymore).
- some columns now only get displayed if using mmapv1: mapped, index miss %
- if using wiredtiger, the "flushes" column refers to the number of wiredtiger checkpoints that have been triggered between each polling interval. if using mmapv1, the meaning of this column is the same (journal flushes)
