On the page for mongosniff (/manual/reference/program/mongosniff/) it says

To build mongosniff yourself, see: Build MongoDB Tools From Source.

which links to the "Build MongoDB Tools From Source".

Unfortunately that page advises that all tools have been moved to the new, separate mongo-tools repository. This is incorrect- mongobridge and mongosniff are still in the core server project. Judging by their dependencies on mongo's net libs or libpcap I hazard a guess that they will stay in the core project for the forseeable future.

Please change to link on the bottom of the mongosniff page to go to the core build page (/about/contributors/tutorial/build-mongodb-from-source/ ?) rather than the mongo-tools one.

Also could the "Build MongoDB Tools From Source" page please say "all tools except mongobridge and mongosniff" in the following sentence at the top.

As of MongoDB 2.8, the tools are written in Go.
