mongoD can get itself into unrecoverable (if no additional disk space can be given) situations when the disk space fills.
The ideal solution is if users setup disk space monitoring so they are alerted when the disks are approaching capacity and can proactively take action to avoid ending up in a state where they cannot start the server. We should cover this in the production notes as it is critical the monitoring is setup prior to running out of disk space.
