Doesn't explain in which cases Mongo will choose to use it or not, only to use explain to find out later.
It also doesn't explain the performance tradeoffs that would help you reason about when they are valuable vs adding more indexes.
None of the index pages explain how the index is structured or what the performance characteristics are.
