Googling for 'mongodb io scheduler' the first mongodb.org link I came across was https://www.mongodb.org/about/ssd/
This contains a section about the 'OS Scheduler' which states:
One user reports good results with the noop IO scheduler under certain configurations of their system. As always caution is recommended on nonstandard configurations as such configurations never get as much testing...
This section may no longer be valid in the context of MongoDB 3.0 and WiredTiger in particular.
I'd also question why we base a recommendation on the reports of a single user, especially given the lack of other reference material.
Recommend rewording this, especially if it is no longer valid with MongoDB 3.0/WT.
An alternative may be to remove the page completely and/or to update it completely (along with other pages linked from the parent) as the parent page itself doesn't appear to be linked from https://www.mongodb.org.
