Description
I am new to MongoDB.
I was loading/ inserting data into MongoDB, and this thing happened.
The command prompt where mongod.exe was running was not responding.
I did the following :
1) Read through the manual for MongoDB backup and recovery.
2) opened another command prompt and put in the command
mongod.exe --repair
3) got a message unexpected shutdown
4) By then the other cmd prompt starting responding.
5) I did not understand what went wrong and I closed all the command prompts.
6) Opened a fresh cmd --> started mongod.exe --> started pushing data.
7) The push was succesfull but was not been inserted to the collection I specified
8) I don't understand where my data is being inserted. How can I recover the old dbpath.
