      This page is missing the information where Ops Manager prepares and stores the snapshots before making them accessible to the user (for the point-in-time cases). This information is important for sizing file systems. I would guess it uses the head area for this, but I'm not sure. If this is mentioned somewhere else in the documentation, it should also be mentioned here.
