Description
Virtual workstations should enable the dev prod team to make changes to the build system, the toolchain, and the default developer environment without the average engineer having to notice or take any action. This will allow us to iterate on providing the best development experience we can, and ensure maximum team productivity by ensuring as many people have the same development environment as possible. There is no documentation however about how these update rollouts will occur and also how to ensure personal environment changes do not interfere with the team-wide one (things like keyboard shortcut preferences in VS Code should not interfere, but some other things like changing the default shell may and it's unclear what will and what won't).
