Improve domain socket documentation and error handling

      Domain sockets are not supported by the async driver, but it's not immediately obvious to users. Two things we could do:

      1. Improve the documentation (javadoc and reference doc) to indicate lack of support
      2. Fail fast instead of waiting for a MongoTimeoutException
