POC should cover our expectations of the behavior of new and changed WT APIs to validate the prototype implementation and serve as scaffolding for further development of the server changes necessary to meet the new contracts. Not all tests (e.g. for future server changes, or where the WT prototype has known limitations) will be expected to pass initially.
