In disaggregated storage, we aim to keep 30 minutes of history. With such a long history window, removing obsolete updates from the update chain in theory would become ineffective and wasteful.
We should try to run some perf experiments to check whether we could improve performance by disabling obsolete check in disagg. If we see performance improvement, we should by default turn it off in disagg.
