This is a feature request to allow each mongoc_client_t to specify its own appended handshake data (i.e. driver name, driver version, platform). The current design of mongoc_handshake_data_append is not suited to wrapping drivers that may run multiple applications within the same process. See PHPC-1740 for more context.
