Problem Statement/Rationale
A member of my team as update their computer to MacOS 26, since the update compass is not able to connect to any database (using URI with DNS or IP). We tried to use Studio3T in the meantime and it's working has expected.
Other members of the team who have not updated to MacOS 26 have no issues.
Log file is attached, only relevant thing is the error regarding mongoAtlas but we are not using atlas at all on this environment.
Please be sure to attach relevant logs with any sensitive data redacted
Steps to Reproduce
How could an engineer replicate the issue you’re reporting?
Use MacOS 26
Try to connect to a mongo cluster accessible through an openVPN tunnel using tunnelblick
Expected Results
Beeing connected to the cluster
Actual Results
getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND mongo-xxxx.internal.domain
Additional Notes
Any additional information that may be useful to include.
We've tried to upgrade to Compass 1.48, downgrade to 1.46, there's always the same error.
The user is able to ssh on the same mongo server using the DNS name so it seems that the issue is only on the compass way to solve DNS.
