What is going wrong? What action would you like the Engineering team to take?

I'm trying to create a new collection index though MongoDB Compass and/or the Atlas Data Explorer. With both methods the same issue occurs: As soon as I place my cursor in the "Select or type a field name"-field, the UI becomes almost entirely unresponsive.
Simply waiting a bit does not seem to solve the issue.

Steps to Reproduce

How could an engineer replicate the issue you're reporting?

Try and add an index though Compass or the Atlas Data Explorer.
Place your focus in the "Select or type a field name"-field, the UI becomes almost entirely unresponsive.

Expected Results

What do you expect to happen?

No noticeable slowdown, able to complete the index creation without issue.

Actual Results

What do you observe is happening?

Large slowdown preventing complete index creation.
