      NOTE: This change is gated behind a feature flag and will not be enabled for users until the completion of SERVER-124372, which is not scheduled until after 9.0. Public docs, TSE guidance, etc. should not be updated until the feature flag is enabled.

      This ticket adds a new user-facing command `analyze` (previously test only) and adds the following new parameters:

      • mode
      • samplingMethod
      • numChunks

        Description of Linked Ticket

        Extend analyze to collect and upsert sample into system.stats. Configurable sample size parameter for JOO needs.

       

      Ensure it refuses to run on timeseries since samples there are not useful neither for CBR nor JOO as both programs explicitly refuse to run on timeseries for now
