If the computer is connect to an external display and the displays are set up for mirroring, when the display is disconnected (via unplugging the HDMI cable) GUI gets blurred which I assume due to size and/or resolution change of the display.
Steps to Reproduce
Connect the computer to an external display with different screen size and resolution using an HDMI cable.
Set up display as mirror and select the external displays resolution as main. (See: https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/use-multiple-displays-mchl7c7ebe08/mac)
Run Compass.
Unplug the HDMI cable.
