Problem Statement/Rationale

Starting Compass takes about 5 seconds, which are spent in "initialising", "loading preferences" and finally "loading 32 plugins". In this day and age of instant gratification, such a long startup time from an application counts as FOREVER 

But in all seriousness, I think it gives bad impression since subconsciously I find myself avoiding to click on Compass and using the command line shell instead because it's faster.

Steps to Reproduce

Click on the Compass icon on Mac.

Expected Results

The application starts in less than a second.

Actual Results

Application takes about 5 seconds to start (counted as "one-one-thousand", "two-one-thousand", etc ...).

Additional Notes

Application version is "Version 1.26.1 (1.26.1)"
