Instead of a Compass loading screen, we want to show connection screen as soon as possible. All the initial prep that is currently happening while the loading screen is shown should happen in the background. For the showing of the connection screen we want to follow the recommendation from this article and delay showing a screen as much as possible (but not more than needed) if the preparing takes too much time.

If the loading times are still too long, we can follow Slack approach and show an empty skeleton of the app while it is still preparing, but only if this is really needed
