Ensure that when using loadBalanced=true and connecting to an unavailable host, we treat that as a connection failure and don't let the user progress past the connection form. This could be done by e.g. running a ping/ismaster/hello/etc. command immediately after connecting and treating errors from that the same as errors from .connect().
