dbStats / collStats are relatively expensive commands that might cause actual performance issues for server when issued simultaneously for multiple databases and collections. As this data is purely informational and is not required for any features that are not just showing stats we might want to consider allowing to disable stats fetching for the whole application with some sort of global setting option for users who would want to save some load on their servers
