Allow to test auto-updates with a local / staging autoupdate server

      Add an E2e (or separate test) to ensure the entire auto-update flow is working correctly. This would allow us to make changes to auto-updates more safely.

      NOTE: The autoupdate needs to be triggered from a signed package in order to work.
