Stage continues to show error if there is a server error and user disables auto preview.

      1. Create a stage that throws an error `{$sort: {name: "1"}}`
      2. Disable the auto preview and the error remains there. [The error persists on stage change as well]

      Expected: The error hides when auto preview is disabled.
