We're quite behind and recent webdriverio versions can automatically manage chromedriver, geckodriver, etc and the relevant browser version which greatly simplifies getting all that setup in during testing.

See the proof of concept for how this would work. I'm saying 5 points, because it breaks some subtle things in our custom commands for regular old Electron Compass too. I've done some of them in the PoC, but not all and can't easily tell how much there is because tests fail pretty early and then who knows how much else is still failing once you fix that.

Will keep hacking at it in the PoC branch and update the estimate once I know more.
