      stretch-goal: Ideally add some state (saved queries, connections) that we can persist before updating.

       

      packages/compass-e2e-tests/tests/auto-update.test.ts:
        it('notifies the user of a new version if auto update is not supported');
        it('tells the user when they are already on the latest version');
        it('automatically updates to the latest version if auto update is supported')

       

      Skip this test on installers where it isn't available.
