Installer smoke tests are valuable indicator for us to be sure that we are not breaking a critical auto-update functionality in Compass, at the same time they are flaky and the flakes seem to be somewhat out of our control as the root cause is the hardware provided to us by GitHub.

The issue is made worse because rerunning the task currently requires to restart the whole smoke test suite and other tasks that were passing otherwise during this process.

We want to improve that process and allow re-runs for only failed tasks.
