A field needs to be expanded when:

• a child has just been added
• a descendant is part of a currently selected relationship

This should be a temporary expand (not part of the edits).
The actual expanded state is then a derivative of the intentional user-selected expansion state (as per edits), and these overrides to temporarily provide visibility.

Note: collapsing should be under the flag `enableDataModelingCollapse`
