The version numbers in the metadata for .NET Core seem to be assembly versions instead of .NET Core versions (e.g. 1.0, 3.0). In order to better understand what versions of .NET our users are using, a first step would to be to map these assembly version numbers to .NET Core versions. Previous attempts to Google this were unsuccessful.
