      The installation docs appear to be built from a newer GitHub branch than stable.

      For example, MONGOCXX_OUTPUT_BASENAME is mentioned but isn't an option in https://github.com/mongodb/mongo-cxx-driver/blob/releases/stable/src/mongocxx/CMakeLists.txt.
