      Summary

      macOS 14 is EoL since September, and we will be shutting off macOS 14 servers in favor of macOS 15 servers at the end of November. All instances of macos-14 distros in Evergreen test files will need to be replaced with macos-15 equivalents. This shouldn't require any code or test changes and if there are any issues / failures when switching feel free to reach out to #ask-devprod-build

      Motivation

      Who is the affected end user?

      This is a requirement for internal security purposes, so that we are not running unpatched builders with security vulnerabilities. 

      How does this affect the end user?

      We will not be able to test macOS drivers securely without updating to a supported version of macOS

      How likely is it that this problem or use case will occur?

      Certain for macOS users.

      If the problem does occur, what are the consequences and how severe are they?

      macOS driver users will not be able to run tested drivers, or we will have to continue to run insecure CI systems.

      Is this issue urgent?

      We intend to turn off the macOS 14 servers by November 30
